so i think this one will be as they say... "it" thanks again thunder road for the styling cues on the scallops, they look great, so cool scallops, minus chop/section and wah lah
I think you should leave the chrome trim on the fenders. It helps take visual height out of the body, the same way as scallops.
the car had been in some kind of accident and the trim on the passenger side was dented up, and wasnt in the greatest shape regardless. we kindof decided it would be less work to just smooth it all off than to spend who knows how much time and money trying to find NOS trim or usable pieces off a parts car. the scallops are supposed to fill that role and break up the height a little

What's the biggest, most powerful flathead 6 that Chrysler ever made back then? I knew a kid in Tampa back in the day and he had a 2 door 49/50 Plymouth with a Chrysler 6 in it. It was a goin' jessie!
hey Patrick,Thanks for the great update on your car at my place.Theres a reason why I don't go to this sight anymore.I used to think it was a great place to talk about and help each other in building our cars and talk to other people who have the same interest. Now it looks like a place to talk about shooting down people and having only one sided interest.I appreciate your thread about my shop.I guess if you don't have anything else to do but shoot down people I guess thats their way of having fun in the car world.
That link is now invalid. I found you and your car at http://luckybastardscarclub.com/members/justin.

I miss my '50 Plymouth fastback. Had the stock 218, cruised the freeway and got 30mpg. Had it back in the '80s - bright red with black shag interior!
Here's my 49 Plymouth beater. Flat six with a 350 Holley two barrel. Built with junkyard parts, parts leftover from other projects, and a $400 beater 4 door.
