Flat head 4 cylinder Divco

I have Flat Head 4 cylinder Continental motor out of my Divco.
Other then a boat anchor / coffee table / or yard art what to do with it?

It is a shame to throw it out, as it ran, when I removed it out.

 

I'd find a place for it somewhere. I sure hate to see good hardware tossed in the junk heap...even though it may not be a "desirable" piece like a flathead V-8 or a nailhead motor. Maybe this is why my storage shed has so many treasures within.

 

Sell it to somebody who's into old engines. There are collectors for just about everything under the sun. Run an ad on here or CL. Personally, if it runs really good, I'd build a doodlebug around it.

 

Sell it to a forklift place, they were very popular in the older ones

 

What model # is the continental, and does it still turn over?
I may know of someone that has a use for it.

On the motor,s driver side is F400AL - MD - 3

P***enger side is D247

It has divco on the head

I also have the complete drive train including the front hub ***embly with the front axle converted to mustang 2 rotors and Gm metric caliper's

 

clean it up, paint it up, and make a gen set out of it!

mount it, complete, on a front half frame trailer so you can move it around but keep it off the ground. take it along to car shows to show tunerz what real four cylinders look like.

 

Well, I'd put it back in the Divco.

But then I'm sorta weird that way .....!!

 

The Continental Engine fits a lot of different applications including lots of heavy equipment we had a 12 ton pavement roller with a Continental 4 in it from the factory.My M***ey Ferguson tractor had a Continental 4 gas motor in it as well.

 

Four cylinder flathead Continental motor? Bet that'll fit into a lot of things.

Is there any speed equipment for those things? Intakes? Heads? Cams?

How much power did they put out stock? Would it be enough for a really lightweight little minimalist track roadster?

I think Divcos had F-163s. 163 cubic inch.
