Man, we're getting close. As anyone who's built a car knows, it's the endless list of "little" things at the end that just about kills you. When you mark three things off of that list, you add five. That's how it's been lately, but we can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel.

As of last night we have now run the lines for the trans cooler (yeah, it's not a "real" hot rod because it only has two pedals. Someday I'll be cool!), finished the wiring (except the new plug wires. That's one of tonight's projects), Matt laid on the lettering (which looks great!), J Ripper assembled the brakes, and the 17" wires and EXCELSIORS are on!

Of course after we got the wheels and tires on last night we had to do a quick mockup to check it out.......WOW!!!!!

Sorry, but for some reason the shots of Matt naked won't upload.

Nice!!! The wheels and tires are beautiful as well as the cloth wiring. Matt's lettering proved to be a perfect choice too! That dude is becoming my new hero!

It is really turning out nice!

What tire sizes did you end up with? Are those bias ply or radials?

I agree. I think I may have a project for Matt coming down the pike.

    Nice job, fellas.

  16. Thank GOD! I was almost afraid to even look which would have been a shame as the car is coming out very nice!

Pretty nifty... what you doing for "caps" - have you seen those aluminum ones with the two-eared knock-offs cast on them? (can't remember who makes them). Gary

I think we'll eventually go with a set of Steve Sellers' aluminum knockoffs, but for now it'll be running chrome caps.

    The car looks good though,

Nice work guys, looking very sharp. And nice work on the lettering Matt. I knew you could handle it and looks dead on.

What's the black electronic box behind the dash for though? CB radio or maybe the gauges or elec. ignition? Super secret power booster? Speaking of that, I think you need to add one of those 100mph water to hydrogen bubble boosters.

Nice job on the lettering Matt.
