    I'm sorry guys. Even though I recieved permission from one of MSRA's officials to post the image of this year's sign, other officails didn't agree. I was told to remove all images from the web.

    Nice job! That's the first one I've seen in a long time that seemed to break out of the mold. I like it.

    Thanks everyone! As far as signing it, I won't be at the show so you'd have to come down here to WI. Unless there is enough demand. You'd have to contact the MSRA.

    Mr. Swanson,

    We represent the Yura & Zora Arkus-Duntov estates and therefore are the proprietors of the
    "ARDUN NEW YORK" logo copyrights and trademarks.

    It has come to our attention that in your most recent artwork, you have taken the liberty of removing our clients logo from one of their products (a valve cover) and have replaced it with an adverti*****t for a (for-profit) automotive event in the State of Minnesota.

    Permission was neither asked nor granted to reproduce or alter our client's logo and your artwork therefore cons***utes infringement of our client's rights.

    In terms of the Copyright Statutes, we are en***led to an injunction against your continued infringement, as well as to recover damages from you for the loss our clients have suffered as a result of your infringing conduct.

    In the cir***stances, we demand that you immediately:

    1. remove all infringing content and notify us in writing that you have done so;
    2. pay a licensing fee in the amount of "one million dollars" (in your best Austin Powers voice);
    3. immediately cease the use and distribution of copyrighted material;
    4. deliver-up for destruction all unused or undistributed copies;
    5. undertake in writing to desist from using any of our client's copyrighted logo in future without prior written authority from us.

    We await to hear from you no later than close of business on April 1, 2010 (aka April Fools Day).

    This is written without prejudice to our client's rights, all of which are hereby expressly reserved.

    Yours faithfully,
    Dewey, Cheatham & Howe - Attorneys at Law<!-- /post -->

    Del Swanson ... all joking aside, the artwork is simply *****in' !!! ... Will the metal embossed signs be available for purchase before or after the event? (I too won't be able to attend)

    The sound you just heard was that of my **** puckering before I read the bottom.
    I'll ask the guys at MSRA about availability before and after the event. If demand is high enough, maybe, but they usually only order "X" amount. I may be mistaken, but I think they sell out at the show.
    I give you my thanks and the bill for cleaning my shorts!

    Yeah, I knew this would be brought up. I had an idler on there but it looked awkward. I made the decision to keep it off just for symmetry and to keep a few less bumps off the outside of the sign. These have to be die-cut and the more intricate the outside shape, the more $$$$. Don't worry, that engine was put together with SWANSON brand non-stretching belts :) Good eye though.
