My first kustom was '56 ford with 2" chop, '55 merc front bumber and '59 buick tail lights. It was my daily driver even in winter... And my other more door kustom was '39 ford with 3" chop on front and 4" chop on rear, head lights are fabricate from 70's rolls royce if I remember right. Tail lights are from '54 mercury.
Heres my 4 dr Australian 1940 Dodge sedan, like all Oz 1940 Dodges it uses the 40 plymouth ch***is etc with 40 dodge grille & trim etc.......I've had it since 1971 and its had the 318 Poly in it since 1973, basically been like the pics show since 1975, 318 poly, cast iron torquflite, 4 wheel discs, rack & pinion, weiand single 4 intake, 2" widened rear guards, Mahogany Metallic Lacquer etc.........apart from the vinyl top & chrome all my own work........andyd

I've gotta a 2 door '55 Buick Hardtop and a 4 door '49 Chevy Deluxe. So I guess you could say "I go both ways"... Nothing wrong with either. Both cool, both get looks, the more-door is a whole lot easier to cruise with when you have a car load, the 2 door is cool... ok anytime, but when cruising by myself or with wifey.. There are some cars that just don't look right in the 4 door version however.. but those were mostly 70's rides and we don't discuss those here..
