Customs Ipod stereo box

Due to a wreck in my Wife's car (not her fault), I have had some time to recouperate and be a bit creative. I added a photo of the damage to the car. I was in the p***enger side of the 2009 Mini Cooper when we were hit buy a mini van.

Per the great tech article by "negativeMatt" I built an Ipod player using modern compnents in this old Packard radio box. Yes, the box is inverted as is the dial on the front. The only deviation other than the box is the addition of the speakers. It sounds good and can be easily moved from vehicle to vehicle, just needs external 12 volt power. The right hand knob is the volume control and I added an on off switch as well as a small light light for dial illumination. Sorry about the dice, I had them laying around. They will be replaced with something cooler.

 

Fender electric guitar knobs would replace the dice pretty easily.....I like it!

 

I was thinking of guitar or guitar amp knobs. The box does resemble an old amp.
