Event Coverage Who's going to the Portland Swap Meet ?

I will be there 4 spots on the track

 

I will most likely have my big black lab with me. He loves to piss on all shiney metal to give it a quick patina! My Lab is one of the biggest labs around. Say hi if you see me. Dryfus and The Rabid Whippet!

 

Friday at PIR and Saturday at the Expo.
Sunday... doing something that doesn't require walking very far.

Glad I have vendor friends (someplace to dump the crap I buy)

 

My wife says there's a size limit for wagons, but they don't seem to mention that on the website. I'm talkin' hand cart pull behind you kind of wagons. Is there really? Or has she been into the glue again?

 

I'm not sure if it's changed since last year but at the Expo Center I saw quite a few wagons used at tree nurseries. Those have to be near 3 feet wide. Most of them have kids running parts out to the gate, earning money.

At the racetrack, anything goes.

 

Haven't missed one since my first in 1974. Sharing a booth in the main hall. Probably just taking some gas pumps.

I'm coming over from Eastern Oregon and will be on the track #1300. We will have some misc. stuff and "Rust is Gold" info. Maybe a Model "A" body. Ter409

Going to have an empty truck bed available for transport down Southern WA and Portland area from Seattle / Tacoma area. Anybody need cheap hot shot shipping?

I have a few items that I'll take down. Will be in the building closest to Marine Drive.

 

What is parking like? Last year I took the MAX.

Stukks - If I were you, I'd plan on taking the Max again. The parking typically sucks at the swap meet, and if you park in the wrong place, you will get towed.

 

Parking? Don't you have to park in the next county?

I usually stay at one of the closer hotels and walk.

I am gonna have a booth this year! Selling my 1949 chevy pickup, and also unloading a bunch 51 ford parts, a 238 flathead, some cleveland parts and the best part is I get to hang out all weekend and spend all of my money.

 

Believe the #'s are 1040, 1041 & 1042. Along the north wall, you won't be able to miss us. Bring $$$$$$, we'll take care of you!! Look for the neon "USED CARS" sign.

Bringing up the trailer, to bring back a 39 Chevy coupe to build a vintage gasser with..

 

gonna be at the east end of the track right in the middle of the last corner. we'll have the propane heater going all week if anyone needs to warm-up. wanted to bring the car, but i was afraid it might get rusty still need 1/4 window garnish moldings. might pick up some other bits and pieces. we'll have lots of 60s 70s ford junk. i'll have some neat little doo-dahs as well.

 

I'll be there trying to get some quick cash for the model "A" crap we have, cowls, fenders, wheels ect. and maybe a couple of banger motors. We are at the track #6167 next to the boat launch. Going to have some heat going, stop and warm up and say high.

 

Ill been down friday and saturday looking for deals on 59-60 pontiac and chevy stuff! last year got a bunch of deals a set of brand new z bars for aharely for 30 buck a tube grill for a 59 chev for 20 bucks and some 59 chev flattop doors for 100 bucks! Portland always has the best deals
