Anyone have a pic of the Merc with the leopard pattern painted on the side panel? I think it's a '49. I have a project coming up and I wanted to reference that paint job. I think he's a Hamber as I've seen it on here a few times! Thanks! Double Clutch
Thank you Denise! that's the one. I'll show you what it is for if the project develops. Sworn to secrecy at the moment!!
Correct... see the dark stripe that is duplicated over and over. Doesn't look bad, but I think they could have redone it by now.
it's different to say the least. looks like what would happen if tony montana whacked sylvester stallone and took his car.
Bo Huff did the leopard design on a ******* shoebox Ford. That may be what Dynaflash was thinking of.
One of the best chops you are gonna see on a 4 door...Quadraports are very difficult to get right. -Abone.
I did an OT car for a guy, with leopard print flames, won't post pics here, cause it may upset people's breakfast! Anyhow, it was fun and different, and that's what he wanted. So if the original poster needs any tips, or advise on how I did it, please PM me, keep it off the board!
Looks like RADICALROBERTO better be ready to share the autograph table,I smell another diecast coming.
There's no leopard print paint on that one, here's a side shot: And here's the only other ******* shoebox Bo's built,no leopard here either:
Here's a link to his myspace with pics of all the cars he's built and painted, and I don't see any with leopard print anywhere, but maybe I missed something: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewAlbums&friendID=85321506
Here is another one... Note the use of the rare Barris produced aluminum hubcaps.... or perhaps look alike?
The Merc in question belongs to Texas artist Raphael, a member of the Outkasts, and (if memory serves) it won the 'Billy Gibbons Pick' at the Round Up a few years back.
Who ever painted the Merc that Rikster posted needs to have all of the paint equipment taken away from them. Nice car but needs a diff top and of course that paint job has gotta go away.
Yeah, the leopard merc is mine. It was chopped by Eddie Lee of Liberty, Texas about 8 or 9 years ago. The leopard print is a vinyl wrap that I had printed at a local sign shop. I installed it myself. I had it up for sale at one point, then I decided to hold on to it for awhile. Now that my wife & I are in house, I'd rather put the money into that instead of finishing the Merc. I'll probably put a for sale sign on it at the Round-up. I'd like to see your project when it's done, that's cool that it inspired you. P.S. there are other pics of it in the cl***ified section when I posted it for sale.
