First time I saw Pork Zartman drive the "Filthy Forty" was at the Drag News Invitationals at Dragway 42 in 1963. Been a fan ever since. Interviewed him for the fans at a recent York US 30 Reunion. We are lesser for his passing. May he forever soar with the angels. This is really sad. Jon Lundberg
RIP Porky. I will pass on the stories about you in books I have, to my sons and you will continue to be the legend that you've always been.
Rest in peace Uncle Pork, you will be sadly missed, you are a legend for all to enjoy., To all a nice write up was in Firday's edition of "THE EVENING SUN" Hanover's local paper
This should link you to the article - http://www.eveningsun.com/ci_14803091?source=email As my husband said when he heard they were asked by the family to bring the tribute Filthy Forty car down from Maine, "I hope they uncork the headers and light it up". Just now as I was cleaning our Caddy interior to ready it for the Roundup next week I was thinking that Pork's celebration of life should be at a good start by now at the Repulican Club in Hanover. I think I will have a toast before heading back out to the garage. RIP - Pork
RIP Pork Zartman! Met him at Thompson and he was a class act. Always ready to tell stories of the glory days of the gasser wars, he will be missed!
Well it was 2 years ago today that we lost Pork. We all still miss him everyday. God bless you Pork and we love you. Gasser Girl
