I get on here daily and lately, well for awhile anyway why are there no posts on much 34 cars? We have a 34 ford 3 window coupe and a 34 sedan delivery at home all steel. I just would maybe like to see some of that stuff or am i just not looking for enough back into the archives on here? just curious I see 32 every other thread but no 34s? just a random thought for this morning.
I'd guess not as many made, not as many left, not as many parts available and not as many re-popped. But here's a site to whet your whistle: http://www.34ford.com/models.php
Here are some pix of a big 34 project. The plan is a Merc flattie, 39 trans, no chop or channel. Actually there are lots of 34 items available. Steves Auto Restoration makes a complete body and they offer fenders, floors, firewalls, roof fillers etc etc. The sweet green 34 was last year (2009) at the Famosa Hot Rod Reunion - not my pic, just a saved favorite.
Here's a few threads for ya to check out. Most are related to sedans, I'm a little biased towards them. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=164849 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=286014 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=167039 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=199047 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=180189
Here's mine (as seen in my avatar). All steel, hammered 4", 283, 4 speed, dropped I beam, split bones.
My old '34 3 window gennie with some mags on it.......I know it sits like a four wheel drive but I haven't gotten around to putting hydraulics and a dropped axle on it yet! I hate to take a car apart that runs and drives. I love '34s as much as '32s but they seem to be harder to find. <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Our Old Car Collection</td></tr></table>
33s and 34s are my favorite! I got side tracked with a damn 32 but im switching back. I also think think the 33 grill looks better.
Here is a 33 coupe my dad has been working on. Found in a barn last driven in early 60s. He installed a 312 ford,C4 and a 9inch. and is getting is running and driving as is.
I'm sure everyone's tired of mine but here it is with both blackwalls and whitewalls. 289, C4 and 8" Ford rear. My Dad bought it in '59, I drove it to high school in '62 and I still own it. It's the best vintage driver I've ever owned , other than my '65 hemi Belvedere........Mike
