I think it was In light blue suede in an early issue of custom rodder, small photo in the front with mexican blanket trim. Maybe Rickster has the issue out still.

They did a interview of his early shop and a few cars they were doing with a pic of the 54 in a early issue of Custom Rodder , I cant remember which one. It was all black and white pics though.

Definatly one of my all time favorites. When i got back into cars from bikes after many years, Cole's ride was one reason i fell in lust with the 54's. He is also one of my fav bike guys

It's def not a Unicorn... Seen Cole' Chevy many times... My brother actually called him out for not driving it in 2008, so Cole drove it to the Calaveras show in Santa Nella...

Rik.. you got any pics of it when it was purple? or with flames?

Cole was an episode in my TV show Chopper Challenge. He took us to a storage facility and opened up 2 storage units and there was the 54 Chevy in one and Kirk's 36 in the other. The 54 had a dead battery so we pushed it and the 36 out so Cole could talk about them on camera. He told the whole history of building the 54 when he was just a kid. I told him thats its widely believed that this car started the boom in custom 53's and 54's, and in Cole's usual understated demeaner he said, "oh, I don't know about that, there's alot of guys that build nice cars". True, but only 1 Cole Foster.

I fell in love with that car when they showed him pulling up in it in the episode of "Biker build off" he was in. Had never heard of him before that, but one look at him and the car, and I said "this guy is a bike builder." BTW, him not winning nthat was the biggest hose job I ever saw on that show.

My favorite bike ever on that show, and one of only a few that I would ride.
