Well kinda. I bought this car a couple months ago for the nailhead motor and trans for my 49. It's a 64 buick Wildcat. The sheetmetal that isn't rusted out looks like it was used as a girls softball teams backstop. I'm giving it one final summer of fun for me and the fam to enjoy. then the motor and shits getting pulled and the cars getting parted out and what's left will get crushed.

Here's a list of things rusted out.

floor pans, trunk floor, rockers, wheel wells, and the frame.

I plan on selling whatever parts i can but seeing as i'm keeping the drive train and the previously listed rust issues I don't see a whole lot of people wanting it. I only paid $600 for it.

Well, at least that is a good way to get the nailhead sorted out and squared away before pulling it and putting it in another car and "then" trying to sort it out. I'm not sure I would have hacked the top off though.

But it will give guys with those cars time to get dibs on the good pieces when it becomes a transplant doner.

The frame rust i saw was behind the springs and axle. I was to afraid to look at the rest of it.

The nailhead is solid. I've probably put 2500 miles on it since i bought it. It needs new seals and the injector pump on the carb needs replaced but that will be long gone before it makes it way into the coronet. I'm wanting to run a nice 2x4 intake with finned valley pan and valve covers.

Scrap price would likely be more then i paid for it. I tried to get rid of the whole car minus motor and tranny before i cut it up. Even answered a add on craigslist for a guy specifically looking for 60s wildcat and said how much he loved them and wanted to save them. Told him what the cars fate was going to be and he wasn't interested. I'll sell it cheap if someone was wanting to put a drivetrain back in it and drive it. I hate to crush it but I figure i've atleast gotten my moneys with with the motor and tranny and the fun times already, and about to be had with it.

the weather in kansas tends to do what it wants when it wants. Its sunny right now, but we are supposed to see some tornados in an hour or two.
