Who is planning to attending the Central cruise this sat? The weather looks good. I'll be there with my Candy Apple Red 6 second 200MPH Nostalgia Top Fuel slingshot promoting the 8th annual Nostalgic Show & Go! to be held on April 11 at Speedworld. Stop over and say hello. This central cruise is supposed to be one of the largest events in Arizona? How many Hambers planning to make it? Steve Hosting- 8th annual Nostalgic Show & Go! we live just down the street, but somehow we almost always miss this. I am going to try to make it over for a while.
Their is only a charge if you park at the main lot which last time filled up by 1 or 2, i have to work but im trying to get out by 2 or 3 if not ill be there after 5 with the roadster, definatly one of the best things going on around here all year.
Anyone else? I hope I am not the only Hamber to attend. Steve Hosting- 8th annual Nostalgic Show & Go! April 11 Speedworld World Drag Strip Phoenix www.nostalgicshowandgo.org Make plans to attend now.
I am picking up a bunch of (free) old tools and (free) factory manuals from my surrogate uncle who is cleaning out his house in the early afternoon. I plan to do a bit of cruising later early evening if it is still happening.
Yeah, it goes well into the evening. Stever Hosting- 8th annual Nostalgic Show & Go! Sunday April 11 www.nostalgicshowandgo.org
I'm finishing my new rear leaf spring / Caltrac install today. I should be down there in the late afternoon or maybe early evening. I've heard it goes at least until 9pm?
That cruise night was HUGE...Only downside were the cops giving burn-out tickets...HA Does anyone have pics? There were hella flashes going off all the way down Central.
I think that was the biggest I have seen so far, we left at about 830 and the crowd was thick all the way up to Indian School. We had a blast.
Thank you, I am Nancy , I put the Cruise on and it is very hard work, I am so happy you enjoyed it, definately the best one yet, next one is Ocotber 9th 2010.
I lived in Phoenix in '80-'82 and even then the Central cruise was huge. Back then it was a free, informal cruise and everyone gathered at a mall to the far north of Camelback (Can't remember the name) and just kind of drove down central together. About 200-300 cars participated then and it was by far the best cruising I'd ever done. I kinda miss the Valley of the Sun for that kinda stuff, hope your event goes well.
