Goodguys Del Mar

Who's headin' to Del Mar? The wife and I will be heading down I-15 Wednesday morning, probably arriving evening time.

I searched, but couldn't find any mention of Del Mar and Goodguys in recent months, so if there's another thread please direct me there.

We were planning to do the shop tour Thursday, but just learned that there isn't one this year... WTF? Supposedly the "cruise" is going from Pleasanton to Del Mar instead of a local cruise in San Diego. Anyone know what's up with this??? BUMMER DUDES!

 

I may try to make it. What are you driving down?

 

Saturday only for me this year. Always one of my favorites. Nothing like crusing down Coast hwy and a beautiful fairgrounds. Also can't wait the hit the Fish House across the street.

I have always wanted to try that place, good food there? I dig your signature as well...... it HAS turned into a fashionshow,the cars are now the sideshow at most shows.

 

I'm gonna try and go sunday. No car since I just started engine rebuild. I agree with hotroddon, It's pretty much a costume party nowadays.

Maybe you guys can have a Meat & Greet.

I've never been to a meet & greet, are these the same way? Maybe us "regular people" could arrange a meet & greet for us, and then one for the rock-a-sillies.

 

Thanks brother! Apparently there's a poker run Thursday leaving from the fairgrounds or the Hilton... not sure yet. How do I get a hold of Chick? And are you going to make it?

 

Cruisin' Grand in Escondido is not until Friday afternoon/evening.

If you intend to eat at the Fish House on the corner of the fairgrounds, bring lots of money with you. The food is very good, but not inexpensive...

big group of the Az guys are heading out, some of us will be there early to put a car inside. I am on the road first thing Friday morning. See you all there

 

There is a killer Hunan restaurant just up the street on the other side of the freeway.

There is also an amazing Mexican restaurant on PCH overlooking the beach.

 

This morning my wife says, "Why is there a gallon of paint in your suitcase?"

 

Was the answer... "Don't ask me 'bout my business, Kate"

 

I said I was taking it to Del Mar. She just shook her head. She's seen far stranger from me.
