Something New for YOU at Detroit AutoRama this year (2005)

I was just about to put my entry in the mail (Seriously) tell me where to send it please.

Don't give away all those spaces at your house Denise!
Of course 5 Gay Rodzz members can share a twin sized bed comfortably. It is all in how you stack the meat.

From the PM's so far looks like there are 6 HAMB folks for sure. If anyone else wants to be included in the HAMB Lounge area let me know. Giving Race the apps together ensures a spots together.

Plowboy, got plenty of room at not only my place BUT my folks live 5 houses down and they will be in Florida for the winter so we can use their beds as well. Also Beatnik lives two miles away and has offered his 2 guest rooms for HAMB folks too. No HAMB brother should let the cost of a motel room keep them from the show. We will find a bed or couch for everyone.

I have informed my web-guy (who also happens to be my son, Ian) to remove any and all referances to the term "Rat Rod" on the site.

Edit: Would an unfinished old wagon w/ holes in the floor fit in? If I could get my motor swapped (easy), brakes rebuilt (easy), and the car laying on the gound (chopped springs, anyone?)-- the paint is in good enough shape (dull white/yellow) as is the interior, I'd LOVE to have it in the show...

I live a ways from Denise, but still in the general Metro Detroit area. Plenty o room here too, if nessasary.

No additional fee...one admission to AutoRama gets you into the whole deal, both up and down!

As an update, the response has been excellant and entries are rollin in from all over and many differant states.

We are working with Old Skool Rodz and Jimmy Shines' car is confirmed too. Lots more cool (or is that Kool) stuff to come!

 

Iffin I show up, I got the ok to write up something for our friends at Primer.

 

..........so my wife is in the dining room on the computer and I'm watching the NEW...VOL.2 edition of the MAD FABRACATOR'S SOCIETY DVD and in the interview with the owner of the Adonis clone, the guy says that the Alexander Brothers asked him if he could have it done in time for the Detroit Autorama?...and she chimes in with, "We're going there!" Brought me to tears! I keep telling her, it's NOT a vacation to Detroit! We're going to a car show!!

And if that isn't enough, you will be able to see Bill Whetstones Grandsons' suede 60 Ford at this years AutoRama Extreme. Bill was the original owner of the A-Bros built Adonis. Bill will also be displaying his black 40 Ford P/U at AutoRama Extreme, and it is gorgeous!

For those of you that don't know "grampa Bill" I hope you get the opportunity to meet him. He's a really nice guy with a ton of first hand knowledge about the early days of custom car shows. And he didn't read about it ... he lived it.
BTW he is HAMBER Starliner's grandfather.
