Vertex magneto

Anyone know of a good place to get a Vertex Magneto checked out. Is Joe Hunt still in business?? Got a SBC unit I purchased years ago with Hilborns. Seems It dont have low RPM spark.

 

Try Taylor Wires. they bought Vertex a few years ago and are located in Grandview, MO.

Taylor wire in Missouri as posteed already, but make sure you are sitting down when it comes to the cost. Funny no one advertises the cost on any web site. $95 to inspect and re-charge the magnets, most old units need new coils even though they throw spark, they crack and will fail, $173 to replace the coil. New points are $175!!, new condencer is $35. The good thing about Taylor/Vertex is they give you all the old parts back with your rebuilt MAG.
