Look for a 2V one, they will be more streetable. The 4V 11.7:1 compression model sounds alluring, and is plenty powerful, but it was designed to run on 100 octane gas. I have a customer with a 1970 Cougar XR-7 that is sick of the trouble.

Cleveland is a great motor, next best thing from a boss 302. The 2V heads are better for the street, ports in those are huge enough, 4V even bigger. Had one in my 55 Ranch Wagon

Good choice, you won't be disappointed. Keep your eyes open for a 352 as well, they are often cheaper than the 390's, and with a 0.050" bore will turn into a 360 or a 390 with the right crank. Good Luck.

I have a 351C in my 59 F-100. And boy does this thing get up and move. I'll never go back to a SBC ever again (if I can help it). They can handle high RPM's and it's really nice having that Dizzy up front.
