What could I expect to pay to have someone draw up some concept art for a build I am planning? I would really only need a quartering shot from the front and from the rear.Maybe a side shot. Basically I have a list of parts I'm looking to use, pictures of chops similar to what i'm looking for, and a number of mods I want done. I know there are a number of hamb'ers that do this type of work, and I was curious if it was way out of my budget. I thought it would be nice to have whats in my head on actual paper.
I don't have even a slightest idea what it might cost, but check this illustrator... you've seen his work in Rod n Custom magazine. www.jannekutja.com
How much does a three bedroom cost...??? Most artists (including me) base their prices on a per hour rates...I've done several concepts and even a couple were built... There are artists that can give you a computer generated design and there are those that do it all by hand (pen and ink and marker)...that also plays into the cost. Here's a thread on some guys that do it, including me...take a look: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=438746&highlight=who+doesn+love+concept+art Shoot me a PM and let's discuss it... from the front back side /top/ are called orthographic projections. Theres no harm in asking for what you want here I guess. some blueprints may already exist, and may just need photoshopping.
Janne does great work. Same with Jimmy Smith (Jeem on here). Rikster is pretty amazing with photoshop as well. Steve Stanford. Dan Pic***o. Drop them a pm and see what happens. Better yet. Check out the friday art shows and see who you like.
I was quoted by a well known artist for $100 for a quick thumbnail marker doodle to over $500 for a couple simple views with color. Nothing close to the level of what was posted. Just quick renderings.
