    Just thought I'd ask.

Myself and Brad (Flatbrad) are heading over for Speedweek and trying to organise details. I was only able to confirm I was coming about 2 weeks ago and Brad just confirmed with me today, so we were not able to book accomodation earlier on.

Now I have half a plan to hire a van or RV and camp at the bend but I thought it might just be worth floating on here just in case someone needs to spread the cost of their room a little further.

If it makes it any more attractive for you, we are both salt virgins.

I was too, and camping at the bend is where it's at.

Cool. I am more than happy to camp.

    Denise....do you like me??

I heard there were a couple of places you can get a shower for a couple of bucks. Any truth? (just in case Denise doesn't like me)

  15. I usually travell with a full cook kit. If your guys have a larger grill for camp thats cool. I will bring the small one for lunch out on the salt.

More beer is always good, the swill they sell in Utah ****s. I buy mine in Wyoming on the trip over.

Serious? I am flying in to SLC so I won't have a lot of choice. Surely they sell decent beer somewhere.

I'm sure they sell just about every brand available in SLC.
So, fill me in, when do you arrive in SLC and are you renting a car?

Nope, Utah don't like drinkers and the alcohol content is less than normal store bought beer even though it is name brand..

Wells NV is only 50 or so miles from there so a road trip aint out of the question...

    Thanks Denise...:D

  21. Everything is low alcohol in Utah, kinda watery. Even the micros which strangly they import to South Dakota at full strength. Wasatch Brewery makes some good stuff.

Can I put in a request for some Victoria Bitter? Yummy

But the other side of Wendover is Nevada. Thats a party state. They've got to sell decent stuff at the grocery store on the west side of town right??

  23. I bet they do, we never made it that far last time we were out there. I had food poisoning from Chinese with Buick59, Mikey tried to kill me, you can ask Bob how bad I looked. Hard to believe that was 8 years ago.

    Denise.

Flying in to SLC on the evening of the 12th. Will be hiring a mini van in all likelihood and picking up some camping stuff on the 13th and heading across.

Straight to West Wendover to find good beer.
