anyone know what it is? my tag is not readable and i need to know this so i can get the right phase convertor- it has 20 amp fuses in the box so i know its below that
Has your motor been changed? Might need more info. My P9 has the Swedish 2 sp 440 volt motor. High speed is 6 hp and 8.7 amps. A 6 hp 220 motor will pull twice the amps. I'm running mine thru a step up transformer. It's on a 220 volt 20 amp breaker.
IIRC mine runs on a 10hp converter (rotary). Factory 2 speed motor. Low speed wasn't a problem with a lesser converter but startign directly on HIGH SPEED was an issue.
If you call me at the shop, I will look at my P9. Is it the original motor? How about pictures of what you have, to help compare? What year is yours? Wil 910 399 5939 www.sakowskimotors.com www.ridefree.com
here is the motor- i was told from the guy i purchased it from its 3hp- seems large for 3 hp- i have a 5hp motor on the compressor and its not this large im not sure if its original or not- 1961 is the year pullmax told me when they ran the serial number
If you call Stan Fulton at Fulton metal works I think he will be able to help you out. He refurbishes and sells Pullmax machines and tooling (217) 476-8223
thanks- didn't know stand refurbed machines, just thought he made dyes- he was a big help. after talking to him i think im going to just get a 230 v, 3 hp 1 speed>VFD with foot pedal and just be done with it
