------------------------------------- Cool looking carbs! But super-rare is right! I've never seen 2-bbl SUs before! What if anything were they used on.....or are they some sort of prototype that never made it to production??? Inquiring minds *NEED* to know!! Mart3406 ===========================
There is a 2-hour video tape on SUs. I will try to find the info on it. I look forward to using them on my vintage champ car:
Hit this link http://www.1978mgmidget.com/Tuning_SU_Carbs.pdf . I have this book and it has saved my ass. Jeff 6inarow, it could sit on the back of your toilet for a while
SUs can take a bit of fiddling to get the maximum out of'em for a given set-up but are more than well worth the effort. I'm running'em on my HA/GR (Barn Job #18) and turning high 12s with only a medium street cam (bear in mind that's on 6" street tires). Feel free to check the photo album in my sig links.
thats an awesome set up you got goin on there, I was thinkin about runnin 3 2" SUs, on a 292 myself, Please send me a message back and tell me how the set up runs. I wanted to run the same setup for the same reason as you do. First off you dont see alot of 6 cylinder engines in hot rods because everybody likes the "me too small block chevy" and if they are runnin hot sixes most ar 4 barrel fed or have 2 or 3 deuces on em. I love different. Like I said beautifully executed on your part, keep up the awesome work.
