Ok, so can someone tell me what torque lbs I need to retighten on the flywheel/torque converter after I put the ****** back on? I am removing the three bolts and then will retighten after replacing/cleaning parts etc. Just wanted to know how tight to make them...
Also, I am stupid at this very moment....and I can't seem to find the oil gauge inlet on the 350 or the water temp inlet. I had the engine placed in a Dodge Coronet 1949 D30 series and Idon't know if the guy that put it in just clipped them and I'm not seeing them. Any info would be great. Thanks peeps.

I think oil pressure port will be in the area of the distributor, to one side or the other, the water temp sender port I would look for on the cylinder head, between the exhaust manifold and valve cover, typically left side (driver) toward the front.

I was kind of thinking the same thing, but I didn't see anything that looked like it would measure temp. I know I must be in the right area though because I have oil all over the p***enger side of the engine. There is one small little hole that has something that looks like it has a spade terminal on the end of it. Any ideas? I can send pics later if no one can just read my mind (haha).

Yes, that little thing with the spade connector, if it's at the rear center, is the oil pressure port and sending unit or idiot light switch.

The temp unit should have about a 7/8" hex / 1/2" pipethread with a terminal(s) on the end.

Thanks. Is there any reason that it should be leaking or blowing oil out? What exactly hooks up to that spade? Is that the only place I need to input for an oil gauge? Remember this is a 1978 chevy 350 in 1949 Dodge Coronet with the original gauges.

Oil pressure gauge port is at the rear drivers of the block by the distributor behind the intake. It is 1/8 npt you have either a sending unit there or a gauge. Simply unscrew the sending unit and install the oil pressure gauge adaptor into the block install the line and your done. Temperature sending unit could be in the heads between two exhaust ports or in the intake at the front

ok, this is just about in the same place as HNSTRAY was talking about. It's on the p***enger side of the motor towards the midcenter/rear area. Are you saying that I need to take out the part that is on the p***enger side with the spade in it and then screw in the mech gauge end? Or are you saying I need to put the gauge end into the block on the drivers side rear above the filter? If yes to the later question, what do I do about the piece with the spade on it? thanks for your patience and knowledge

The torque converter bolts need to be good and tight, I have never used a torque wrench on them, just get 'em tight, and use some blue thread locker (loc-***e) on the bolts too.
