clip suggestions

    ok im switching over to a nova clip wandering which way i should tie the clip to to new 2x4 rails i already have. heres a pics of a few different options i came up with

    heres some pics of the direction im going at this point. new rails welded to the side of the nova clip. top of 2x4 will be even with the top of the clip, and a portion of the rail below the clip will be pinched and 45'd to blend in for a nicer profile look. let me know if this is a good idea

    Yes it will work. I box/plate all the way around on the ones i do

    Is there any thing that prevents you from narrowing your 'new' rails to the same width as the outter edge of the Nova rails? It would seem to me to be much neater and cleaner to have them in the same plane rather than 'lapped' in that fashion....

    thanx bolwn 26, i had planned on boxing it up some.
    hnstray, i was going to run then plain as the clip, but i think if i run them outside the clip rails i can tie it in easier to the rear section of the stock frame
