Hey all I'm a new guy from Iowa City Iowa. 33 with a wife and kid so as you could guess cash is tight. I have a 29 2door sedan sittin stock right now with a newer ch***is I built with the use of a local shops frame jig dropped axle and a 57 pontiac 347. I have a close friend that has offered an olds motor for little or no cash (if I cant find parts for the pontiac). I want to build a traditional style hot rod but as you could guess old stuff is hard to find in Iowa and if you do and its in decent shape WOW I caouldnt afford it anyway. I have had thoughts of chopping the top lower in front than back if thats possable and Zing the frame to get it lower and retain a lil space cause I'm a bigger guy (6'1" 300lbs) so any help on finding parts or tech info would be awesome.
