hello, I,ve been in hot rod bussiness for a year. It all started out when I was looking for a bigger family car (suburban). I had been talking about hot rods whith my friends during lunch. Same evening when I started looking for chevys I by mistake entered Ford. Well the rod I now own was the first hit.....I realized we didn´t needed that Suburban. I´ve been riding Harleys for the last 20 years and since the owner of the rod could consider to trade for one, the arguments against a deal never surfaced. During the last year I,ve learned a lot. The rod isn´t really old school. I´m working step by step to get it more old shool. A lot of words, hope to find some good tips here at the hamb. The pictures show what it looked like when I bought it. Now it has a hood and is dropped 2" in the rear and a pair of new strombergs, for the summer 16# front wheels will be put in front.
Welcome from I-O-way! Good looking motor, you have a great start to the rod world. What kind of HD's Flat, Knuckle, Pan ect.? And where is these island's you live on? Bueno!
Well the HD´s are nowdays just one for a specific reason. The one i traded was a 1966 original style electra glide, the one thats left is a old school 1951 panhead bobber. I will post a picture when I get home from work in a couple of weeks. The Åland islands is in the north of the Baltic sea, between Sweden and Finland.
Yet another welcome from Scotland. What's with all the Fins signing up recently, are you guys coming out of winter hibernation? Good looking car ya got yourself.
Streets?....naaah....more like narrow curved country roads, whith good asphalt though. but bevare, if you are at one end and drive more than 80 km, you will end up in the Baltic sea.
About this whith all the Fins. You could say they finaly tore down the "ironcurtain" around Finland. Just kidding. But authorities has been hard on everything thats has an engine and makes you smile, but lately they have eased a little on our chains. But i´m new to this rod thing, maybe some friends from the mainland has some ideas.
Welcome from New Zealand from an old friend of Finnish drag racer, Jukka Lamminen. As you guys are the world's greatest rally drivers will we see your roadster drifting around forest roads?
Wecome from sunny Florida and the other side of the pond. Cool looking ride and really nostalgic looking. Hope you enjoy your visit. Jimbo

Welcome from Finland! (Although I don't know if you joined in before me or not...) I know this really nice guy from Åland, a friend actually. Hopefully get to make a trip to the beautiful Åland next summer! Sadly, I've forgot most or the very little of Swedish language I might had learned in school, but maybe it comes back... This rod of yours has a great potential, I like the appearance of black flatheads!
