My wife and I plan on attending the Molutrie Ga swap meet in Nov and we are starting to make plans.

I checked the reasonably priced motels in the area and everything seems to be sold out already.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas about attending this event, it will be our first time so if you have suggestions or ideas that would be great.

    Where to stay?
    Where to eat?
Bring coolers in the meet area yes no...
Is the walking area smooth or grassy.
What areas to hit first for Ford parts?
How many entrance areas, best place to park...

After 3 days when we leave we are headed to Daytona Turkey Rod Run
    man will we be tired....hahahahah

    Thanks
    Rodney and Alicia

Might try a hotel in Tallahassee or Thomasville. The site is an airport so it is all asphalt. If the cooler has wheels OK, bring a dolly also. I'd say 80% chevy junk, you just have to search for Ford stuff. Get there before the gates open & get as close as you can. I eat breakfast @ a Hardee's (or is it a BK?) @ the intersection of the road Spence Field is on & the road up from Tally. Lunch on site & supper elswhere. Good hunting!:)

there is lots of concrete, asphalt surface, but lots of grass to walk on.Coolers in wagons accepted, no animals. bring warm jackets and a poncho, can never tell in Nov. There will be a meet at the ag center in perry ga a week before moultrie. lots of motels, and just off I-75.

OK what is the back way ?

  9. Valdosta has a bunch of amenities. Thats where we hang our hat for the meet. I cant remember the exit but it takes you right in to Moultrie swap through the back. much faster getting in and out that way and closer to you in Florida. Ill check with a buddy who make the reservations at the hotel every year to get the exit.

I've been going to the November and February meets for years, we have tried all around and prefer Thomasville, it's about the same distance as the other cities, and has more restaurants. We stay at the Comfort Inn. 229-228-5555 If you go on the www.moultrieswapmeet.com web site they have a complete listing from the whole area. Looking forward to selling you something, oh I mean seeing you there!

Don't know the street names but you go past the Tech school. Leave the airport, turn right ,at gas station turn right again. There is a sign for the Tech school there also. Continue to Adel. I suck at directions, that's why my wife goes with me. A local could explain it better. The first time I just asked at the motel.
