It's traditional if you are from Hawaii in the 50's which is where this was originally from. If you guys wanna delete this feel free. I'm in the final stages of a ground up build of a Hawaiian Bus based on a 1950 Chevy. The owner rode on it as a kid growing up in Hawaii, bus fare was 5 cents. He found the original and shipped it to me to restore. It was so badly rusted that only a few pieces were salvageable. I took measurements and created a new one from scratch. The body is all hand made sheet metal panels which bolt together, and all the trim around the body I hand machined from aluminum. It still gets a roof which is wood slat with canvas like an early woodie. So, I know it's not a traditional hotrod so you don't have to remind me. Lots of build pics, if there is interest, I'll post them.
seems traditional enough for me, not really a rod. but since its old, hand built and totally freakin' sweet, i think it belongs on here.
Looks a lot like a Philippine Jeepney, except it's not a Jeep. But when ya gonna lower it, or bag it?
Personally, I think it's great. However, given my track record, the fact that I approve will probably cause the thread to be deleted.
I think its a looker. Nice work. I would enjoy build pics, but then again, I ALWAYS enjoy build pics I think it will look neat with the top to!
