Went to the Kansas City, Missouri swap meet put on by the Shriners and had a great time. My favorite brother in law Lawrence and my pal Larry went along too. We all bought some cool stuff. I was lucky enough to get some early Ford wheels, a La Salle grille, some new in box Ford truck carpet, an Advanced Design Chevy pickup truck grille. I took a ton of photos to show my pal Rich Venza in GA and thought maybe some of the rest of you would like to see them. I love swap meets! What a great way to spend the day. <center>

I thought this little German built van was cute. Have never seen one before. Guy only wanted $800 for it. I almost bought it just for a display item. But money is tighter than it used to be so I did not. <center>

I had agreed to meet my pal G***erlouie from Lincoln Nebraska for lunch at noon for one of those big tenderloin sandwiches. Around 10:30 am I get a call from my big Cornhusker friend and he was already hungry so we met early and had a snack. Good thing too because they ran out of them later. Only $5. Garnished with some pickles, mustard and horsradish and you have a perfect sandwich.<center>

3/2 with chrome 97's? What was he asking for it in the background of one of the pix.

I did not make it out this year, I have been sick all week and with an 8 month old sorta' slowed me down this year.

    Chris

Oh yea, what did the guy want for the "belly tank"?

Looks like a great swap meet. I could really use those 37 Ford fenders. Thanks for the pictures.

Always a treat to talk to my buddy Cal (carkiller) from Iowa. He was not a vendor this time. We traded war stories about selling stuff. He always has a story aboout his Ford truck breaking down when he goes on a long trip. Oddly my GMC never breaks down. <center>

  16. Great pics Paul. It's like I was there. Hey I was there!
Chris, I think he wanted a grand for that intake, if I'm not mistaken.

great photos, Paul. You guys sure do have some solid iron.

Unlike the native Wisconsin stuff, it is lightweight though!

Man, I love swap meets. Thanks for the pics.

  23. Where are the pictures of the swap meet? All I'm getting are pictures of a goldmine that you must have stopped at on your way to or from the swap meet. Here there is usually ten guys selling diecast, fifteen guys selling various polishes and cleaners, six guys selling repop signs........oh and Bumper Boyz!

You better have some good stuff up there Bob. I am coming to 2 swap meets in WI this year including the Jefferson meet in your town in 2 weeks. Looking forward to that.

Looking at all the pedal cars makes you wish you were a kid again. I like the signs and the panel truck.

I have been going to the Shriners for years.

I wish they would move it back to the woodlands. I thought that site was terrible!!

If you were looking for 37 ford parts you would have been in heaven.

I thought it wasn't as good as normal.

Great pictures. Now I'm really kicking myself in the *** for not going. Thanks

  30. And to think I opted to help my pop move instead of going to a swap-meet. Urghh >>>>.
