Did a cruise down old Route 66 yesterday with my family and friends. This is what makes everything you put into your ride all worth while. Here are a couple of pictures.

We just made a big 70 mile loop that left from our house and went down Route 66 and then came back on some nice country back roads. The only advise would be just do it and have fun!

Sounds like a great time. Thanks for the pics! I'm hoping to make the trip someday, it's a 4 hour drive to the nearest section from here, but there are plenty of other old highways to explore :)

  6. My original intention when buying my rough, disassembled Pontiac Convertible was to travel Route 66. That was back in '91.
Now, the car sits in the garage waiting to be finished...someday.
Thanks for sharing your pics. I'll keep on dreaming.

Kinda makes me wish I had spent more time of 66 back east. Started at Santa Monica Pier and by the time we got back there all I wanted to do was get to Chicago and turn around and get home.

...that is the reason Flower and I took three weeks last year to do Route 66 from Santa Monica to Lake Michigan and back. We didn't want to be rushed in any way. It's the ONLY way to do that run.
