I have an import, spent 4 years doing a rustoration on it, but I guess even tho it's 41 years old, it's still too new, from what I've read.....it's here for those who want to check it out....http://www.cardomain.com/ride/505677
but I won't mention it again for fear of incurring the wrath of HAMB!

I have built other cars back in the day.....my best friend and I bought a 283 sbc bare block for $12 in a junkyard, and when we were done it was a 301 with twin Carter WCFB's on it, and it was in a 59 Ford Anglia with a Mustang rear end. We started with a 3 speed stick, but when we just couldn't figure out a good workable clutch linkage, we swapped it for a powerglide from the same junkyard.

The car went like stink in a straight line, braking and turning were a whole nother matter! So were our construction skills......

Mind you, we were only 16 that summer.....

I'll probably be selling my import this summer, and on the lookout for my next project, I'm particularly fond of a 30's Ford truck, or an early 50's Ford 2 dr....

No worries, lots of guys around the HAMB are still building cars like they were 16. You have nice taste in cars today, you'll fit in fine here.
