Does anyone in HAMB land know what 12 bolt gm rear ends are interchangable? I have a 65 chevy pickup that I broke the pinion shaft in and destryod the gears and carrier. Any help would be great.
1964-72 12 bolt rear ends from a 2wd c10 will fit without any mods. 69-72 is 3/4" wider on each end...so the rear end would be 1.5" wider in total. may be easier to just swap out the whole rear end if you can get one for cheap. lots of info on this board: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/
I think the gears and carrier go up to 81 though. usually not to expensive as not a lot of interest in them
