Like the rest of the world I was watching this car intently wondering what would happen to it. I was really hoping it would end up in someone's hands that had more talent than I. I was worried that the car would end up rusting in some kid's backyard... You've proven that this car has a "rightful owner"! Have been subscribed to this thread since the beginning and I'm glad to see this car being saved!
I was struck down with cancer 6 years ago...age 43.. I made it though all the treatments and it was a tough road but I made it....I now live each day to the fullest and try to do the best that I can in everything I do. I thank the Lord for this Crafty

I worked on the drivers door and the windshield post yesterday and made some really good progress, Foundry Jay was down and we put our heads together... busted out the porta power and went to work. Im off suicide watch now knowing that the driver side is going to turn out ok... HA HA. It was great to see some Hot rods at coffee on Friday!! coffee 9am to 11am every Friday..yer all welcome Crafty
lot's of welding and grinding today boy's..salvaged a nice patch panel out the crashed door and busted out the english wheel for the roof patch...long way to go yet but looking good!! Crafty

worked on the blower the last couple nights.. Im not in love with conversion on the stock cast intake but I think it will work and time is crucial.... I made up the patterns for the blower pulleys and it was a snap to get the alignment when you make them out of wood first. I think the blower is sitting up a little to far but I machined the cast intake down as far as I could without cutting through the runners. To get the blower far enough forward I turned the manifold around and everything lined up great. I hope the intake will work..it was a duel plane style and I milled everything out that I could to make it more like a single plane/blower style. I would like to find a real blower intake for the ol 322... if it even exists but I still may fab up a new one later and use the cast one as a guide do I need a pop off valve? I copied the gilmore pullys size and they are the same dia so it was not making to much psi Crafty
Crafty, You sure can do some "crafty" work. Neat to see the conversion of the intake from a carb to blower manifold ! Looking forward to more progress on your Deuce !
Ha when somebody asks "where did you get your intake" you can proudly say "I made it myself". Not too many people can do that.
Hi Guys here is the dash pattern I have been working on for a while now on and off...The outer raised area's on the ends will have a cool detail panel either cast or engine turned and this will be a nice to mount a couple of switches. The old curved glass SW gauges are all detailed and ready to go.. I plan to make small eyebrow's to fit over each gauge..I would like to cast them but I may just make them out of sheet aluminum. more later Crafty

holy cow this is coming together nicely, so I take it you wont be using the crusty old dash panel you got with the car, hint hint...
Here is the tripower 471 blower top/fuel log that I have been working on..foundry Jay hooked me up and we did a test pour yesterday, the patterns need a little tweeking here and there but Im happy how the first parts turned out. The finned top will be bolted to the base and will have a machined groove to hold a o-ring gasket. I also did get the top v belt pulley machined up tonight... Crafty
This is an incredible build!!! I sound like a jerk, but I would have the 3 fins line up on that fuel log to the charger. Then run the supply in some other way - so 3, vs 4. Maybe run the supply from the bottom.
