I'm having a hell of a time finding anyone that has a low mount alt. bracket for my motor. I really dont want to change out my water pump for a 65. Anyone know where I could get one? Thanks all.

do you still have the genny bracket? i cut one in half, turned it around, and bolted the alt to it. you need to get the measurements right and may need to drill a new bolt hole in it. after i went to all that work, i put the genny back in my '59.

    66 67 T-birds also use a low mount alt.

As do '63-'64 T-birds and '65 T-birds with A/C. Brackets should be easy to get from T-bird parts specialty houses and shouldn't be all that expensive. There is one stamped upper bracket and the lower adjuster bracket.

I'm currently trying to coax the local junkyard owner in letting me snag a '62 galaxie FE on the cheap. IIRC, '63 was when the alts came out.

So I ended up going with Crites. $49.00 for a good looking alt. bracket. I was gonna get a fancy one through c.r.a.p. but they are impossible to get hold of to answer questions. Emailed em 3 times with no response.
