i have a '69 gruman/olson step van on a Ford ch***is. wondering if anyone on here has done any thing like this as a street or rat rod project any input welcome. thanks Jim
Wow, that was insensitive Greg. What he meant to say was that this site is dedicated to 64 and older, hotrods and customs. Ratrods are generally cobbled pieces of **** that are made to get attention. Not the attention intentionally desired here. So that said, welcome and please stay on topic and enjoy your stay...
There were some guys running around Staten Island with a chopped aluminum step van several years back, thing was bad***.
Dude, you gotta have a pre '64 like me to be cool 'round here... It's all about street cred based on a number and the vague definition of "traditional", an odd way of expressing individuality through similarity...
aaaaaaaawwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!! Dad, I'm tellin Mom you used the R word. Guess I should have told you a little more about this site before you signed up. Lots of good info and people on here. But you do run into the occational wannabe moderator who spends more time scanning these threads looking to pounce on a newb than actually working on a car. It's all in good fun though. Welcome to the site.
Check out the vintage step van post ( the thread search on this site is great for that) Plumbmad has a Gruman similar to what you have and there are some pic's of his on there. There are threads on a ton of stuff on here that you can find with the search function. Welcome to the HAMB there are a lot of sharp folks willing to share some vast know how here and the normal ***ortment of blowhards that seem to be everywhere here too!
I have a friend who offered me this for 2,500$. don't think it's been started for awhile as he's been using it for a storage shed since it was parked a couple of years ago. would make a great project with only 77K on the clock.
