Projects hows this for a dash panel

    i made this for my stude today thought it looked plain so i added the trim piece behind the gauges and cant decide how i fill about it

    What's that made of? Is it burled walnut or something? I think the aluminum or stainless kinda takes something away from it, if you know what I mean.
    Heck, you may love it. Nice gauges anyway.

  5. The aluminum or stainless is the actual panel with the wood as trim on top - is that how it is? It looks nice, good workmanship. I sort of think the wood trim would look nicer if it was kind of an oval - not following so close to the gauges. Just my opinion, for what's it worth.
     
  6. oops, it not wood, it's browned metal! You don't see that every day. Old time rifles used to be browned instead of blued.

    Looks good to me, I would suggest to add a nice bead to give some more personality to it. Just my 2c's
