Detroit diesl green engine paint on the wheels. It kinda flows with the white inner fenderwell panels. Ya need to letter the tailgate white now and put those bullets back on the carbs. That truck was a billet show truck in the '90s. Now it's a '60s show truck in the 2000's.
hey mootz, you know you're a gold chainer when your garage floor has no stains just messin' around. your truck is perfect now, i love it! i plan on the same headliner for my '51 chevy, and wanted to put a black light inside so at night the fur would glow, maybe i'm takin' it too far... anyway, i love everything about your truck, don't change a thing. just your underwear. tred.

[/ QUOTE ] I can only wish that garage was mine. It is actually Slacker53's shop here on the board. He and his son are pretty o.k. people(most of the time ) and let me use it. I actually was talkin bout the blacklight thing also but you're right, maybe too far. who knows. Thanks to all for the kind words. Mootz
looks awesome! hell it will be worth it just to see the reactions from the gold chainers and purists. tell them it came like that from the factory, it was the "artic option"
I love it. You might want to get some scotchgaurd spray or something to try and keep it a little clean.
I wasn't sure at 1st but the more i look at it i think it looks great in the truck! I would advise no smoking inside though!

That does look really cool , I wonder if it will stay together or if you'll always have white threads coming loose all over the place.
i really like the fur.... the question is, how did you put it all up in there... spray adhesive?? glue?? i thought about doing something similar as a temporary headliner in the chevy, but didn't know how to get it to stick and stay stuck... anyways, nice work though. it looks good.
The truck is a 57 and I put the fur up with spray adhesive. Did it by myself and it stuck almost instantly but will come back down with a good tug if ever needed. As for the shedding, took me a good 2 hours both nights to get the shit off of my fingers. I have lent everywhere but after a good vacuum, I dont think it will be bad at all. Shifter was built by Kool Kat and is a few wrenches welded together and an old Stroh's beer tap on top of that. I'll try to get a few more pics of the shifter and the stance today. Mootz
I dig it. I used to have an American Eskimo and all my black clothes looked just like that. I do think it's the shiznit if you can keep it clean and keep it together with the windows down. I don't have a car that this would look good on but I'd love to do my revolving bed with the car stereo in the headboard this way. You are pimpin my friend...and we don't hate ya. I'd like to make some undershorts out of that stuff if you have any left.
When I first saw the second pic,I thought you'd done the inner wheel wells too! That would be neat with some fake grease on it Doesn't look too bad though it's not my style. When I worked at the Mercedes-Benz dealership(which also sold Lamborghinis)back in 1972 we had a customer who bought a Muira SV from us that was painted a nice non-metallic medium blue and the ENTIRE inside was done in BLUE FUR!Looked like a very low mobile 1950's bathroom. Mercifully it was one of those Muiras that self immolated due to malfunctioning Weber carburetors and was carted off for scrap.
That shifter is super cool, I was thinking about changing my whole shifter set up to run one through the floor insted of the automatic on the column.
I think I like the fur too. Reminds me of the white rabbit skin I put on my bicycle seat back in the day. pigpen
Works for me! I used the same stuff on the package tray of my '49 Fleetline to cover up the speakers.
