So I have finally done it, joined this interesting crowd. Rat rods, resto-mods and vintage "pastur-ized" vehicles are what gets me going. My project(s): two 1/2-ton Studebaker pick-ups, which will become one cruising machine. One '59 (model number; 4E1) will provide the updated/more modern running gear. The other, a complete '51 2R5 will be mounted on the 4E1 chassis. That is the quest. It has been fun finding the parts I'd like to incorporate into this project, as I've found needed and extra parts at swap meets. One excellent find was the exact year fuel tank, found at the "Pate swap meet". A running V-8 engine from a '57 Stude truck, whose owner wanted a 350 Chevy to power his ride.
