Would you try to save this or let it rest in peace?

Maybe some of the panels maybe of use to another, so it might be worth saving for its parts alone!

I was kind of thinking snag it and look for a sedan for the front half. Find some doors, and Maybe it could happen.

No but you might save a few pieces for a chop. Door posts etc. Hell the frame might be good.

Capture it and part it out to pay for other projects. It would be a shame to leave any good parts laying when they could turn into money to finance a project in the works.

Since it's Kansas, the old girl should be good for parts - floor looks good, rear fenders might be salvagable, quarters, tail light stalks, firewall, etc.

    36 parts don't grow on trees :)

    Worth rebuilding? No...

Worth saving? Yes... In 25 years, someone would be willing to give big $ for that heap.

Might be worth dragging it out of the mud, treating it with something to stop the rust, and putting it somewhere that offers a little protection... JMHO.

There is parts on there that someone needs, but not a project.

  21. I'd bring it home and give it a good inspection before ruling one way or the other. It would be a tough save, but if you took a porta-power and straightened it out, someone could use it for a stock car body - a lot of those are really shitty under a coat of bondo. But that rot by the back window? Just cut the whole thing out bigger, problem solved.

  22. Lots of good parts at the very least. Well worth saving. I made my old boss a ton selling hard to find brackets and parts off 30s Fords. Even if there is a model that the big pieces are re-popped the small supports, brackets are not. Drill spotwelds and rivets out, DISECT it dont just cut it apart!

Snag it, cut out the good areas, POR-15 them and sell them as patch panels.

The "right price" in my opinion is $250-$400 tops. Go for it if you don't already have a '36 coupe!

There's an issue of Rod&Custom of the not so distant past, where a Sweedish guy or Norwiegener took a smashed up '36 tudor sedan and turned it into a three window of some magnificance. After seeing that, I would say nothing is too far gone.

    I think he's also a member.

  28. In New Zealand these things dont exist in that state to even have this discussion... Its a definite save... If you dont there must still be plenty of good cars left in the USA.:) It has potential even as a carson top coupster or something. There has just recently been a beaut 34 coupe put on the road down here and it came from less than that.
