Next time I'm in town we need to have a HAMB Meet & eat at that place. It was AWESOME! Lots of character. kathy and Bill were also telling us about a place on a lake that we have to visit next time. Great seafood, but we just didn't have enough time to get there and back to the airport in time.

  4. Hey D - I thought to myself while lurking this morn'n at this post - it kinda like being there, well except for the hugs and megan hanging around and .... well great pics really great, but it is not the same as being there... Meanwhile you are the documentary queen of the H.A.M.B., and for that you get two more switch plates striped... besides, I'd be in real trouble if I did not post now - after talking with you - right?

    Sincerely,
    Dustyoldbodyman, out of the darkness...

  5. Meanwhile,
Did you see a low gloss/high gloss root beer brown one of these?
A friend of mine from Detroit had it down there - another good friend painted it....

....and I thought I took a lot of pictures!!! LOL....great pics Denise....I only came home with about 2,000 shots and been burning CDs of them for all the Virginian HAMBers who didn't make it this year! Hopefully they'll all make the effort to go next year...after they see all my blurry, crooked, not quite centered pictures...LOL

It was GREAT meeting you and hanging out on Sunday at Ski Shores together. I'm BUMMED you're not going to be able to make it to the Jalopy SHowdown next month. We HAVE to get together soon and do something fun with cars. xoxoxo

What the hell!??!!?!!? Junior Brown was there? Why doesn't somebody tell me this stuff? I guess I gotta start coming to the meetings.

Don't know why I bother reading thru all these posts. I mean sure, it's great fun and educational too. But then later I feel a bit depressed that I wasn't there taking pictures myself! ;)

And thanx for all the effort it takes to post all these great stories.

Yep, he started playing in the Mercury while it was parked on Congress Sunday morning. Not sure if he played while they were driving but he was playing while parked at Ski Shores. It was so cool. They then left for Mercury Charlie's shop where he played later on during the party there.

Whew--we sure had some fun this past weekend didn't we? It was great seeing so many old friends and making some new ones too. The Round Up has become a big reunion with our Texas pals we don't see often enough. Thanks to everyone for the great Texas hospitality!

Now, why was I licking that table? Denise is building an island in her kitchen and we were discussing what would be a sanitary/food prep top. I told her even though Billy's work bench/table was super clean we should probably put a clear coat or some fun candy or pearl on top. She asked me if I thought it was clean enough to lick and well...you all know the rest of the story now! :D

As for the cop in Brenham, I can't believe he gave us a ticket! He was so casual about it. Oh well, she's sped plenty of times :D

Great to see you again! And to FINALLY meet Meghan!! (P.S. Meghan, I think my friend has a serious crush on you, or he's intimidated as hell by you, or, well, both ;):D)

Thanks for the pics of our cars too. . .one of my favourite memories of Austin is Laura and I cruisin' down Congress side by side in our cars, traffic backed up behind us for miles as the two of us were chattin' away. A study in contrast to say the least: She's tall, blond, drives a white 2 dr; me, black hair, short, drivin' a black 4 dr.

    Hot rod chicks rule.

    Hi Denise,

I was just getting my strength back from last weekend when I stumbled on this thread and now I am tired all over again reading about all you girls did!
Good luck with the remodel you are working on and hope to see ya again soon!

Ya gonna squirt me with your squirtgun right before the photo??:p
Seriously though, thanks so much for the t-shirt. It will very sweet of you to think of me.

You won't be disappointed attending that event. It's a BLAST!

Not only did I get a chance to check out his AWESOME artwork in the vendor building BUT he's going to do a custom piece for my new kitchen. I'm not sure what he more talented at his artwork or music. He's a very talented fella.

Awesome shots and thread Denise. Thanks for taking the time to post up your adventures here on the hamb.:) Too bad about el policia giving you the ticket. Now if ladies were a little closer in on 290 like say Jersey Village.I might of been able to help you out.Hopefully the other hamber that you mentioned can get it squared away for you because that sounds a little steep.Looking forward to your next adventure and take care.

Hey Sweet Ones!!, How did I not see ya at this event? My pals and I were guests of Dave Gonzales (Paladins--Stone River Boys) so we were quite focused on the music scene and hung out a lot at his recording studio. Sure was a great event as usual, I will see ya around this summer. Cool post as always sweet ones, just another D. and M. fan, ~Sololobo~/Larry

Glad to hear you guys are all so into the coverage. With so many different threads going on regarding the RoundUp I wasn't sure whether the HAMB really needed another one. I'm happy I posted cuz so many are enjoying it.

    Jail?
Been thinking about you the last few times I've visited California. You doing OK? Going to Santa Maria next month by chance??

There were so many peeps there it was hard to see and chat with everyone. Sorry we missed you. Looking forward tohanging out together at Salina.

It's stated in our girl handbooks we must put at least one foot on a dash or glovebox at least once a year.:D

Thanks anyway bud. Appreciate you giving it some thought.

Not sure if Jeff is going to see this so I'll answer for him, yes him and his lovely wife were there along with a bunch of his pals from a couple of different tatoo shops.

    Thanks for taking us along.
