Ok, So It's Not A Hotrod! It's Still Pretty Damn Cool!

I was able to pick this up in Arkansas City, KS., and I'm pretty pumped about it. It's not a hotrod, but it is rust free and runs!

    It has a straight 6, and a 4 speed.

I did manage to break the fuel pump when I took it off to clean it out, so if you know of one, I NEED IT!

The engine in the pic is not mine, I 'borrowed' it for show, because I forgot to take a pic of mine.

Very nice, you aren't going to chop that up are you? I hope not.

    Nope!

It's the only car I own that will receive no mods.

Ok, it is getting an electric fuel pump, since I broke the original. If I can find an original, I'll put it back to stock.

Glad to hear it. I am all about hot rods, don't get me wrong but there is a certain percentage of cars that deserve to be left as they were. Don't worry, somebody on here will tell you to cut it up. Cool car and damn good looking - the dash insert is totally bad ***.

HaHa! I guess I forgot that part. It;s a 1929 Graham Paige, model 615. Most of the 615's were 4 door. I forgot to take interior pics. I left the car in Scammon. KS at my dad's. He's 75 and retired, and wanted to give it a wax job. When I'm out there in May, I'm going to put an electric fuel pump on it, and I'll post pics of us driving it around the metropolis of Scammon.

Well, I guess it will stay 'boring'! I don't have a problem hotrodding and chopping just about any car, but this is too damn original to do that too.

    PERIOD.

Keep it original, some cars are just meant to kept the way they were built. Nothing wrong with doing that. Great car and congt's on getting it. If you need some one to store it for the next 50 years let me know.

One of the operators of Big Brutus lives between Scammon and Columbus. He h*** some reaaly cool stuff. If you ever go in the Big Brutus Museum, he always has a car of his in there. He has a whole building of model T and A parts, and a fantastic collection of cars. He's 84 now, and pals around with dad.

Nice and yuppers there are some that just need to be preserved the way they came out of the factory door.

Looks like a great rig to load the family in and head down for ice cream on a fine summer evening.

I'd chop it, shorten the wheelbase a foot and a half and make it into a pickup truck.
If I found an unmolested deuce, I'd restore it bone stock.:D

Seriously, I go with letting your dad play with it.

    Damn, that's funny!

Here's the story behind the car. Hotrod95 posted, asking for info about his teachers car. He's 14
    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=450876

I sent him a pm, saying when his teacher decided how much she wanted, I might be interested. A week later, hotrod95 pm'd me a price that his teacher was asking for it, and I jumped on it. Turns out it was her dad's, and I'm the 3rd owner.

    So, thank's Michael(hotrod95)!

Very unique! Good call to keep it original. Not everything is meant to chop, channel, and spray flat-black.
