Steve..... No other words but OUTSTANDING!!!!!
    The best Round Up Ever!!!!

You and the Kontinentals are the schnizzle....

  3. El Jefe covered it all pretty well, and that goes ditto from me - a big Texas-sized THANK YOU to everyone for coming out and making the weekend so great. We are so lucky to have such a great group of folks who have supported our little show for years. We work hard to make sure you have a great time here in Austin, and its so gratifying to hear back from you all. We are truly humbled by your kind words and all I can say is Thanks!

Its undoubtedly the coolest thing I get to work on all year - and having partners who are pals like Steve and Will make a pretty big task into a real pleasure. All of my Kontinental bro's and the great staff who come together out there make it a real family homegrown event. I'm super proud of how we've managed to balance the growth with the fun, cool flavor of how it all began - and how everyone attending the show has maintained that vibe - there just something about Texas and Austin that makes it work.

While I'm at it - I'll also give a big shout out to our fave Canuck Jeff Norwell for the amazing artwork for this years show - everyone was flipping out over it all weekend. Thanks too for bringing the '32 pickup down to roll around Austin - it was killer seeing that thing prowling South Congress.

It does seem like a dream, now...

Thank you Steve, I think it was a dream...I actually made it this year, with two cars no less. :)

  6. I agree, the dream was the best I have EVER had.. This year was indescribable, My daughter and were in heaven. I now need to find a machinist job up there in Austin :) My wife and son are finally moved to San Antonio, but I think maybe the move needs to be a little further north :) The atmosphere the week before and after are beyond words, The work that this group of people put into this show and all the before and after events are also beyond words. I can not say thank you enough. I sure am glad I was one of the ones who actually got to LIVE this DREAM!!

I can't tell y'all how much I appreciate the work you do. To have Roundup right here in town is as good as free beer at town hall. Thank you all so very much.

Thx back to you Kontinentals for everything that went into making this one of the BEST Round Ups ever!!.... I never dreamed that we would have so many friends from all over the country...what a privledge it is to be part of this community.

As many have stated, the Austin scene wouldn't be what it is without this event, and we try to carry it around with us all year round. Why do you think you see us cruising up Congress on the way home from the D & D... just hoping, somehow, that it's Round UP week all over again???!!!..... or why we send PMs to Ryan in June asking..."Why hasn't the Round Up thread been posted to the HAMB home page yet?"

    That reminds me....RYAN!!!! 2011 :D

I was happy to have the opportunity to host people for the garage crawl. Thank you for your hard work and I look forward to next year. Please let me know if I can help out in any way. Matt

I do believe she is addicted... Thanks again

Will, I remember meeting your daughter and I also remember being that age and the people that helped shape me as a youth. I saw Miranda walking around and made a point to talk to her and ask if she was having a good time and what cars she liked best. As a kid you usually get overlooked when things are busy and a ton of people are packed in so I made a point to reach out to her. I am glad that she has caught the bug, we all could use another enthusiast to carry on when we are gone, consider yourself lucky to have such a good kid. Please feel free to come by the shop in the future, and bring Miranda too. Matt

To Steve and crew another great show, I got to get my car going again!

Here is a few pics from the old days before Steves hair turned silver in about 1987 with Russell Scotts orig Cool Car Club. Steve had the Olds Conv with a taped on sign, Gary has the Red ford, Charlie Sextons Merc, my yellow 64 ss conv, Miles Plymouth and a few others we cruised Congress, than to Ski Shores I got to find the rest of the pictures and scan them.

Well worth a 9 hour flight from the UK, a two hour internal US flight and then a 600 mile roadster ride to get to the Round-up! EVERYONE I met was super-nice and next time I'm planning to stop longer and hang out and see more of Austin. Managed to infiltrate the Yay-Hoos too! Thanks Kontinentals, you guys rule.

Not my Olds. That was Judy Jones'. I think I was drivin Charlie's Merc in the parade. This was an impromptu parade I think we had for "Skinny" (RIP) the older gentleman in the suit that worked for me in the club who had just recovered from a stroke. We gave him a parade. Man that was a long time ago.
