Ever go to one of those auction things?

  1. Have you ever gone to one of those milatary car auction things that you see advertised on the back of a magazine or on T.V. that advertise a car for $50 bux or a house for $500? Police or milatary because of drugs and such?
Are those really real,or just a bunch of ********? Let me know what kind of Black 55 chevy you got for fifty bux or whatever...
I never got to go to one cuz my Dad said if it was really like that the auctioneer guy would buy them all. Made sense at the time..What kind of goodies did you score? Mikey

It does happen, but the super deals are rare. The usual deals are no better or worse than any other auction. Auction lists are available for free from auction.gov.

used to buy a lot of cars at auction, open auctions and worked for a used car dealer at dealer only auctions.
havent been to the .gov auctions but most are run by normal auction companies and open to the public, almost bought a bucket truck from the power company once, there were a bunch of them going cheap, glad I didnt
Give .gov auctions a try if theres one close to you, check your local auctioneer schedule they can tell you if they have police / drug siezed government cars coming up.
Ive joined the sites before and everything was to far for me, places like Texas ???

I bought a m***ive table saw for $55 at one, cost me more to get it home, but I've had it for 25 years, and wouldn't trade it for anything new.
