Saturday night in Austin at around 2:30 a.m., one of our fellow THEM! members, Jake was heading back to the hotel running solo. Jake's 64 Rivi had been experiencing some charging problems throughout the weekend and he wanted to make sure it got back to the hotel safely. When heading back, he wound up turning down 7th street which was jam packed with all the people pouring out of the bars and also the people who live behind the bars. It was a parking lot of brake lights and he was stuck idling in the middle of it. The car began loosing power and finally died while sitting there. Jake said he started getting really concerned for the safety of his wife and car when crowds of people started gathering around the Buick just sitting there. Just then, a few of the Hellions were passing by and really stepped up to the plate by stopping to lend a helping hand. They got his battery jumped and Jake's Rivi back on the road. Jake said these guys were top notch and he was extremely grateful. Jake doesn't get on the HAMB hardly at all, so as his fellow club member, I was asked by Jake to make sure that the Hellions got some very deserved props for helping another car guy out when they could have easily cruised on by. BIG THANKS to the Hellions of Houston for helping THEM! out in Austin at the Round Up!
Imagine that some of our guys leaving a bar at closing time lol.......They just did what any other car guy would have done so dont mention it just pay it forward
The closing time IS funny..............wait or is that familiar? Some damn good clubs on this here forum. Makes me smile.
Haven't met a Hellion yet that I didn't like. Not surprised that Hellions would be the first to help someone out, Hot Rodder or not. As John said, just pay it forward.
No sweat . . . I would have expected the same, from THEM! (or any other club) We had a killer weekend. Glad to help anytime!
D.A. and the rest of us were just leaving a Bar? No fucking way... We were at church. Late night mass. Seriously.
