Lyle- who built the Golden Indian? (the 1/25 scale one, I KNOW the A- bros built the 1:1) I know it was Steve that did the Limelighter.
Great selection of highlights, Lyle. I was gonna ask about the Golden Indian and acknowledge Milberry's Limelighter. LOL!!! The quality of those builds is stunningly apparent! Now to bury myself in more pics from your link. Thanx, B.
Here's my most recent completion: an early era T-bucket altered built from an AMT Parts Pack body and AMT Fiat Altered frame. Hope you guys dig it!
gbk nice build. Where did you get the Dragway 42 and Kil Kare drag strip decals? I only live about 20 miles from Kil Kare. I have never seen those decals before.I would love to have some for a couple of my projects. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
Thanx Gasr57! The Kil-Kare decals came off the Slixx Nostalgia Drag Contigency sheet No. 2 (http://www.slixx.com/1543.htm?id=800) and the Dragway 42 decals are from Slixx Nostalgia Drag Contigency sheet No. 1 which has been reissued as 70's Drag Racing Contigency Sheets (http://www.slixx.com/1436.htm?id=804). A larger Dragway 42 version is also found on Slixx Nostalgia Drag Contigency sheet 1/18 (http://www.slixx.com/s1841.htm?id=2218). But if you're not looking for them for modeling but want a really cool source for drag racing and hot rodding nostalgia graphics check the Racing decals & emblems page at Cartype: http://www.cartype.com/pages/369/racing_decals__emblems. Both Dragway 42 and Kil-Kare are on there plus lots of other stuff. B.
Kool stuff again this week. I went to NNL East a couple of years ago. I has to be one of the best shows. Where is zed this week? I think its his birthday today. Happy B day if it is.
I had neglected to charge my camera, had the phone charger plugged in, doh! Good thing Lyle was on the ball. The '49 Ford below is one of mine that was on the "primer project" table. Bob
Vic also built and sells resins of my chopped 55 Olds pictured above, though he didn't build the orange and white one shown here. Just talked to him last night, and he said attendance and sales were down big time, only about half what it usually is. What a shame, I hope it's only the economy keeping folks away, and NOT dying interest in building models! But the quality of the builds out there is outrageous.
