This kind of paint job on this car is called paneling right? Like Larry watsons 59 t bird. Ive always loved these kind of paint jobs, and have been wanting to do one on my 59 ford with a pearl white background and HOK burple candy. Does anyone have picks of theres?
You forget, this is a "traditional" board, meaning 'hot rods' --roadsters, square bodied coops and sedans...and very few 'hot rods' were panel painted... There are those of us that are into "traditional" kustoms, but to me, panel painted cars were not kustom enuff to suit my taste, it was all done with paint and very little body work to make it a "true' kustom. BTW, this is my humble opinion... R-
SO,,,.........A Watson panel paint wouldn't be traditional??? I think everyone on this site dug Kirks???
I don't understand what you want to see. Lace panels? Complimentary panels? Lighter/same color panels? Multi colored pyschedelic panels? I think I nabbed this one outta the link mattfink provided. There's good stuff in there...lots to mix and match off of several cars.
My 53 Olds. More pics on Rikster's site. http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_..._like/oldsmobile_customs/eryk-frias-1953-old/
Here's the link to the thread my friend that is helping me paint my drag truck started a while back...some cool stuff on it! Not really customs, but, a lot of the same tricks.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=420910
Anything similar to watsons T-Bird White. Is that Watson himself? AV? I imagine thats apple valley? Thanks Eryk!
No prob man. AV for Antelope Valley, I live in Lancaster. But yeah that's Larry Watson. Pic taken in front of his house last summer. There are lots of examples of what you're looking for. Lemme get some together and I'll post more.
Niiiice thanks! I heard he lives in victorville, or was it apple valley? I forget, think its victorville. but thats why I thought that. Lancasters still desert.
