Wasn't the grille on those stainless? Would stainless last that long buried? Just finding that out would be worth the dig...but who wants to dig a hole the size of a 1959 ford to find out?:(

Sad ... about the old Ford :(
But it is not a 1959 Ford ... IMHO
Looks more like a 1963 to me :)

Get the 9 inch!!! (unless it's rusted to about a five inch)

Seriously, who would have let that happen to a 7 year old car? Stolen and stripped?

Looks like somebody threw away an old Hobo stove

That rear bumper needs a jukebox and it's got a place for 2 watermellons and 2 pichers of beer...

I think you threw a rusty tailpiece from one of your partscars on that creekbank to fool us..
you'd better get your shovel and dig it out to prove your honesty and integrity.

    lol

If my math is correct it has been there 44 years that would put it about 1966, now if it is a 63 ford as you think that means it was only 3 years old when buried... Hell it is almost new Dig It UP.

    OK ... I stand corrected :D

Still a shame ... for a car that was only a few years old. :(

    "Float" it out. Woops...wrong thread.

  20. nope it is a 59 the rusty gaping hole bove the tailght bezel is where the backup light would be

yes my friend uses it for target pratice now and agin

what would be the p***enger side trunklid hinge is partially sticking up through the mud so it atleast goes that far into the bank

its "planted" in a berm it has trees (and from what i can gather standing there tryin to visualize a 59 on the angle the rear is at ) and about 5 to 6 feet of dirt and who knows what else above the fenders

it may have been there longer then 44 years because his dad said it was there when he bought the house i dont know how long that was before my friend was old enough to remember things

damn Id have to dig it up just to see what it looked like, who knows the paperwork may still be in it to help tell some of the story.

If you wanted it dug out you should have said it was a 352 police interceptor convertible someone put 3-2's on that once belonged to John Wayne or something. It would be out by now. It still looks better than the Tulsa belvedere. :D

The grill is aluminum and flimsy.

I need some '59 dash knobs. Why don't you dig it up and I will take them off your hands. :D

It probably got washed down stream during a storm and got stuck on the tree... or like a zombie it was buried and its climbing out of its grave!

  30. Just what I was thinking, maybe the owner liked the car so much he wanted to be buried in it. Stranger things have happened.
