Scored a set of Delco Lovejoy shocks last night. Is there anywhere to get a set of seals and gaskets for these?

Does everybody just send them off to get rebuilt or something?

Yea, thanks, but I know about them. They're a little pricey for washing them out and popping new seals in. I guess i could try going to a seal/bearing shop and matching something up. I'm too cheap to let someone else do anything.

I was just there digging around this morning. All they have is the cover gasket, but not the oil seal for the lever rod.
You're persistant, you're starting to feel my pain, Ha.:D
I'm a little too stubborn to send these in to someone, but that's enough money to buy a set of tires. Nothing like taking advantage of the specialty market.
When I do find seals that work, I'll buy them up and sell them here at cost.

I've found most of the parts I need from industrial supply places like McMaster when I've done old Fords in the past. The only downfall is that you need to know what you had/have so missing or completely eroded parts aren't helpful.

I think the seals are good on mine, not oily on the outside. But when I start using them, I'm sure the old rubber is pretty brittle. I'm sure the seals are nice enough to measure and match up anyway.

If you figure it up make sure you post part numbers here for others in the future.

The best bet on those is to check them for movement.. the biggest problem is that many of them are rusted solid from the inside out. forcing you to replace the majority of the inner components. Also using the incorrect components can cause them to leak and create unreliability in the suspension action.

Check out these guys. www.cl***icautoshocks.com they may sell you a rebuild kit if you ask really nice!!!
