6 Volt - 8 Cyl Tach

    Does anyone currently make a 6 volt 8 cyl Tach?

    I dunno but you could always get a 6 to 12 volt inverter and run any 12 volt tach you want.

    I have been told by several guys who should know....that a 12 volt solid state tach will operate on 6 volts.Try and see,under voltage shouldn't harm the tach,but don't yell at me if it does :D

    I tried a voltage inverter on my 55' Ford. 6 to 12 hooked up my tach and it didn't work right, needle jumped all over the place. BUT I was only 18 at the time and didn't know much, so something may have been hooked up wrong. May have been that the car was positive ground and the tach was negative ground.
