...well, it's now less than two months until the 4th annual "S**** Drive" show/swap in Belvidere, Illinois on June 12th.
...plans are well underway for another good show and swapmeet. Last year altho it rained til about noon; we had over 100 cars entered and we still had over 100 great swapmeet vendors who all reported doing well. Again this year, our swap spaces are all only $10.00 for all the room you need.
Car entry this year has been reduced to $10.00 also. Spectators are $5.00.

...not confirmed yet, but we may have a couple of Troy Trepanier's cars on display, one of his first cars to get ink; the 60 Impala, and Bu****us, the prostreet Buick built in '91. If all goes well we may have both on display...sort of a look at the "other side" of rodding compared to traditional cars. I'll keep ya all informed on this. If it happens, this would be one of the first times both these cars will be displayed together.

...hope the weather is nice this year and a bunch of you guys can make it to our show.

well - I will be there this year FER SURE

I will be INSIDE ( i have too much stuff that can get ruined by the elements) - I would have shown up last year........but the entire time I was getting ready from 430 am to 530 am it was just POURING here in Quad Cities.......
I thought - well......this weather is moving to the east - so it is gonna be pretty bad over there.

Well - had I known that the pouring rain here was gonna taper off - and more importantly that there is an INSIDE vendor area - I would have headed on over.
NOW I know and I will be there fer sure.

SO even if it is lousy weather the show still goes on and it sounds like a great time.

    Seeya there!

Last year I walked in. This year my goal is to drive in. Last years weather did bite but it was still worth going.

...the gates are usually open by 6:30 AM, or you can set up on Friday from around 2PM- 5PM or so; the building is locked overnite also for security.
give me a call (815-973-0304)when it gets closer for definite times.
If you are setting up at the Lil Hershey swapmeet/show ( May 15-16th) we can talk to you there also, as our club will have an meeting there at noon on Sat.
