I know there are many people from Scandinavia on here. You are known for your bitchin' rides, either they have two or four wheels.I just would like to see more of them !!!

Here are some pics of very good looking Kemps from Sweden.More pics and any kind of info regarding these cars is greatly appreciated.

Let's start with this beautiful Merc.

Well, I am not from Sweden, but sure love thier customs. So I have quite a few pictures of those Skandinavian customs in my archives. (all from the internet.)

First a few more of Kent Vikmo's perfect 40 Mercury.

The first photo shows the car as a convertible, according to RPW the car started its live as a coupe and when they where working on the top, the car was driven around like the first photo shows. (thanks for the info Per)

Yup, those Swedes build some kool stuff. Long winters helps.

Actually, kustoms came from Sweden. That's why customs are spelled kustoms.

There was a guy name Sven Barris, who started customzing Volvos. He moved to So Cal later, and changed his name to George to fit in better.

    The rest is history...

Can you make special note of the ones that are Scandi-built? Or are all of those beauties?

  13. All these cars are built over here. Old California plates are for show only.

What about this car? Photo was taken at least 5 years ago at Paso. I wondered where this car is now. It had one of the more creative tailight treatments.

There are no hot rods or customs in Sweden.

This is going to be another great topic,I know for sure...

    Hey mikes 51,
here's a close-up of the back window of the '51 Merc.It belongs to Ulf Christiansson. He used to work in the States as well.In one magazine was written the rear window on this Merc flows better than the one on the Hirohata Merc and I agree.Almost like a 49/50 window.

And Rolf, the story about Sven Barris is really true ! [IMG]
